Here are some pictures of the first Nail Mill tour on October 21, 2001 followed by the second tour.  A lot of work was put into clearing and cleaning up the area where the old Mill stood.  The pictures below show the arches left from where the flow of water was controlled to perform the process in the Mill.

NAIL MILL TOUR 2002

Because of Suggestions and comments TOUR 2002 was taken up another notch.  Besides the basic tour we added a nail making demonstration and Rev William Gettins reciting a poem about the closing of the mill..  The demonstration included a blacksmith forge making nails as they did before 1790.  Steel was heated and forged on an anvil to the shape of the nail.  The nail was cut while hot.  The nail was reheated and the head formed with a nail header.
